Here at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, we’re always keen to support as many charities as we can; especially when it directly impacts the local communities around our offices in Trowbridge, Wiltshire and Newbury, Berkshire. This Christmas, we’re delighted to be working with the Salvation Army to provide food parcels to vulnerable families in our local areas.
The Salvation Army have a long history of offering practical support to those who are vulnerable or in need, providing the basics that provide dignity rather than dependence. As well as assisting people who are experiencing homelessness, they help families who have hit hard times and those who have been made redundant, become ill or are simply experiencing benefit delay.
There are lots of families that need our support at this time of year - in the Trowbridge area alone, there are currently 100 families with just under 200 children that require assistance. We’re extremely grateful, therefore, that our staff have come together to generously donate non-perishable food items including:
- Selection boxes
- Tinned fruit
- Christmas pudding
- Dried goods
- Cereals, and more
If we can encourage you to use your vehicle for just one thing this Christmas, then please consider stopping by a foodbank to make a donation of your own. All contributions will be gladly received, and will help to make #DrivingHomeForChristmas that little bit more special for everyone.
