Fleet solutions should be ready for the new year in case of any glitches throughout the Christmas break.
This is according to Mondial Assistance, which warned this week of the "back to work breakdown blues" many might suffer due to leaving vehicles unused over the festive period.
Some businesses that shut for the holidays may find they need to carry out certain checks and balances before the break to ensure they do not return in January to a flat battery.
Lee Taylor is automotive director at Mondial Assistance and said this problem causes nearly a third of all breakdowns - a figure that could result in big losses for commercial vehicle hire firms if encountered.
Commercial contract hire firms might also want to do some preparation and make certain that any vehicles in their fleet unused over Christmas are given a short drive at some point throughout the holidays, or as per any corporate guidelines issued by the firm.
