Safety technology may provide fleet solutions option

Those involved in the commercial vehicle hire and fleet solutions sector may welcome the latest technology from Bosch.
It was announced this week that the company has put together a new system that may help the roads become safer by allowing drivers to more easily spot pedestrians in low light.
The Night Vision plus technology is able to identify people in front of the car during the darker hours by creating a "high-contrast image of the area immediately ahead of the vehicle".
This is then displayed on a screen mounted inside the motor and "allows the driver to take appropriate action at an early stage".
With the first production car to carry the equipment expected to be the 2009 Mercedes-Benz E-Class in 2009, Night Vision plus may become a point of interest for commercial vehicle hire and fleet solutions professionals.
Bosch also announced recently that its start-stop system has now been installed in more than one million cars since it was introduced in 2007.
