Fleet solutions bosses 'set to benefit from working congestion charge scheme'

Fleet solutions managers running vehicles in London who have registered for the congestion charge scheme have been promised the problems encountered recently are "virtually resolved".
Transport for London has confirmed that a number of fleets have been charged the full price for their trips into the capital despite signing up to the discount plan, Fleet News reports.
There have also been issues with some commercial hire vehicles and car leasing vehicles being wiped off the system by mistake.
Paul Cowperthwaite, head of contracted services and congestion charging at TfL, tells the online publication: "We have had some initial teething problems. However, they are all now virtually resolved."
About 5,400 fleet solutions bosses have signed their companies up to the scheme, meaning a total of 21,000 vehicles pay £7 a day instead of the usual £8.
Fleet solutions managers in London may still be voicing their disapproval of recent proposals to make the Blackwall Tunnel a toll road, which could add a significant sum to the cost of operating a fleet in the capital.
