Iveco has been recognised for its green fleet management solutions.
The vehicle manufacturer received the award for its Blue & Me Fleet product, which won Transport Innovation of the Year at the Post-Expo event in Germany.
Able to provide drivers and fleet managers with information relating to driving such as fuel consumption, overall usage and distance travelled, the telematics system enables real-time data to be analysed and used for planning and fleet funding purposes.
Overall, Blue & Me Fleet aims to improve the profitability of the vehicle, the company said.
"It also tracks the driver identity so that data can be correlated to form a profile of each driver's activity," Iveco explained.
"Blue & Me Fleet can be specified on any new vehicle in the Iveco range from 2010 onwards."
News of the award follows a recent announcement that Fiat Bravos have been provided for use by the Energy Saving Trust.
The organisation is set to use them as training cars for one of its courses.
