New Toyota Avensis models may appeal to green fleet bosses
Green fleet bosses considering buying some extra cars for their company may be impressed by the latest additions to Toyota's line up.
The manufacturer has increased its Avensis range with two new engine options - the 2.2 D-CAT 150 diesel and the 1.6 Valvematic petrol.
Buyers opting for the first of these will find it boasts CO2 emissions of 169 g/km and is capable of 44.1 mpg on the combined cycle.
Meanwhile, the second engine releases 152 g/km of CO2 and can achieve 43.5 mpg.
In addition to possibly helping green fleets reduce their carbon footprint, the Avensis T Spirit fitted with the new 2.2 D-CAT 150 unit could form a key part of a successful risk management strategy.
The manufacturer explained the car can be equipped with a Pre-Crash Safety Pack.
Customers who take advantage of this option will benefit from Adaptive Cruise Control, as well as Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
They will also find the vehicle comes with Pre-Crash Safety technology.
In other news which may be of relevance to green fleet bosses, the latest edition of the Toyota Prius is capable of 72.4 mpg.
