Fleet solutions managers should continue to be prudent in their financial choices as the economy recovers.
This is according to ACFO chairperson Julie Jenner, who told Fleet News the management of fleet solutions costs should remain a priority in 2010.
"Cost management was the key phrase for fleet decision makers in 2009," said Ms Jenner.
"Amid the green shoots, I hope the dawn of a new year is not marked by a reversal of policy."
The ACFO boss also warned those responsible for business car leasing and associated fleet management decisions in companies about additional costs on the horizon.
She highlighted factors such as congestion charging and levies for workplace parking that will impact on businesses' finances.
Ms Jenner said those responsible for fleet solutions should keep an "eagle eye" on the implementation plans for such charges.
Earlier this month, Reuters reported chancellor Alistair Darling is planning to give tax breaks to business with electric cars in their fleets.
