Motorists 'should be considerate when it comes to potholes'
Grey fleet vehicle organisations have been urged to inform their drivers of the importance of considering other vehicles on the roads when it comes to the issue of potholes.
Motorists should be informed of the fact that they need to be aware that Britain's roads are currently rife with the menaces, which often create congestion and put pressure on road safety.
But, by being patient and allowing other drivers and cyclists space when manoeuvring around potholes, motorists can work together to maintain safety.
At least that is the opinion of Institute of Advanced Motorists chief examiner Peter Rodger, who added: "Be particularly conscious of cyclists and motorcyclists trying to get past one and give them a suitably wide berth. They are entitled to a wobble."
Meanwhile, following a series of recent experiments, What Car? claimed that fleet companies looking to save funds on fuel should ensure their drivers are aware of the most energy-efficient ways to drive, with regards to gear changes and speed.
