If you are in the commercial vehicle leasing business then a recent release from the SMMT may have sparked your interest.
It revealed that registrations for November stood at 17,227 last month, the split being 15,164 for vans and 2,063 for trucks.
Paul Everitt, SMMT chief executive commented on the results which were indicative of the state of the market.
He said: "Although vans are down 36% on the rolling year, the 0.8% decline in November suggests registrations have stabilised."
Earlier last month, the president of the SMMT, Joe Greenwell commented that one on the most important lesson that had been learnt as a result of the economic downturn before the motor industry's 93rd Annual Dinner.
He noted: "the UK motor industry is stronger when it works together to achieve a common goal" and suggested that the SMMT can provide guidance to vehicle manufacturers and those who they supply in order to assist in "weathering the storm".
