Businesses that expect to have company cars on the road this Friday (August 21st) may benefit from a bit of forward-planning.
According to Trafficmaster, highways and byways up and down the UK are likely to be more congested than usual on this particular day.
It explained with August bank holiday falling late this year, some holidaymakers would be looking to get away earlier than usual.
Data manager Graham Smith stated: "We are expecting to see heavy holiday traffic from mid morning on Friday August 21st, particularly around the M25 and then across all the major holiday routes."
As a result, firms may benefit from contacting AA Roadwatch for advice on the least congested routes if they want to help employees avoid long delays.
Bank holiday weekend is also expected to be busy.
In other news, Trafficmaster previously claimed UK roads were likely to be more congested than usual this summer as a result of the recession.
The group suggested the economic downturn meant more families were opting to jump in the car for relatively cheap weekend outings, rather than going abroad.
