The AA has made its AA Roadwatch service even more easy to use, the organisation said today (April 9th).

Drivers now have a better chance of remembering the number to call to receive updates about traffic jams or road works while on the go, thanks to the new phone number from the AA.

Dialling 84322 - or The AA on a mobile phone keypad - drivers can now discover the routes to avoid from wherever they are in the UK.

Rupert Miles, chief executive of AA Media, commented: "As the UK's leading motoring organisation, the AA's 15 million members rely on robust and up to date information and assistance to help plan their journeys and avoid delays en route.

"By changing to a number that spells out The AA, we believe it will make it easier for customers to remember and use."

With the Easter weekend fast approaching it is likely that around ten million motorists will be on the road, AA figures state.

Car fleet managers operating over the holiday may wish to remind drivers of the new number in order to avoid delays to journeys.
