Car fleets the source of 'saved millions' thanks to CO2 tax breaks
The British car fleet industry is in the middle of a significant shift of focus, with environmental factors playing a major part of the transformation, a Fleet News report has stated.
Government tax breaks have been available for businesses with lower CO2 emissions for some time and car fleet managers are now experiencing significant savings for making the choice to lower emission rates.
John Lewis, chief executive of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association, said in a Fleet News report: "We have seen the fleet sector make tremendous progress in reducing CO2 emissions by introducing more fuel-efficient vehicles and introducing careful travel planning.
"Meanwhile, the corporation tax changes coming in April this year are set to give a massive incentive."
The number of green vehicles on offer to car fleet managers in the UK is growing at an increasing pace, and it is thought that American car manufacturers will also soon take up green technology on a larger scale, offering yet greater choices for fleet managers in the UK.
