- You have a duty of care to ensure that a driver's car is fit for purpose when driving on business. You need to check the vehicle has a valid MOT (if appropriate), is insured for business use and that the employee has a valid driving licence.
- For journeys of 80 miles or more, it could be cheaper to offer staff a daily rental vehicle rather than allow them to drive their own car.
